Good Shampoo Is Worth It
It was from a Youtuber that I found out about Function of Beauty shampoo and conditioner. I was intrigued and decided to see for myself what it was like. Function of Beauty makes a customized shampoo and conditioner for you based on your exact hair type and your hair goals. They did not send me the product or ask me to represent it. I purchased it on my own to figure out whether it is special enough to buy instead of going to the drug store for my shampoo!
The Process Of Getting Your Shampoo And Conditioner
When you go to the Function of Beauty website (see my affiliate disclosure at the top of this page), there’s a short quiz to fill out to explain what your hair is like and what your goals for your hair are. There’s an option to click for no silicons in your formula and there’s also options for completely fragrance-free, which is really awesome!
You can choose to get 8 oz of each or 16 oz of each, or a combination. So for me, I have super long hair and I only use shampoo on my scalp but conditioner on my length. So being able to get a set that has less shampoo than conditioner is pretty amazing!
You can then add on hair masks and oils and whatever other products you’d like and set a subscription time. I love subscription services, so the products I need on a regular basis just show up instead of me having to remember to buy them!
My Experience with The Shampoo and Conditioner
So I’m into my third month of using the shampoo and conditioner and I still haven’t finished my first shipment!
In the first few weeks I had an issue because my hair became much greasier than I had ever experienced before. But I soon realized I was using too much product. I started using less of the Function of Beauty itself and completely eliminated the oils and leave ins.
My hair has become so soft and delightful plus I actually really look forward to wash day now!
It may be a bit more expensive than grocery store products but I find that it is made up for in that I need less so it lasts a long time and I don’t need to purchase other products to supplement.
